The poster before me (and after me) is correct. Legacy T is a continuation of AT&T Long Lines, renamed when it was reabsorbed.
Since that era, datacenter has been added to this group. This is my contract, where my title is one of 69 in the entire company.
Simple. Legacy T are those employees that worked for AT&T at the time SWB bought AT&T.
The Legacy T label as applied by SWB as a way to differentiate and seperate them.
They do have their own contract and several job titles are covered under different "articles" in the contract.
They work in a very small universe as the company has worked to replace them by shifting work to contractors and management. They are the REAL AT&T.
Those with over 35yrs have a pension. The company wants to move those with pensions to the BCB#2.

Legacy T (Legacy AT&T) is defined in union contracts as a category of employee distinct from Core (OPTs, FTs, STs), which is distinct from [wireline] Billing (old school billing specialists), which is distinct from Utility Operations (Buried Wire Techs, Heavy Equipment Operators).
Legacy T is nationwide, and can be in any CWA district (3, or 9, or whichever). Their contract is separate. They don’t get double time for overtime after 49 hours like Core does, but the layoff package for some titles can be substantial: 104 weeks’ severance for some titles as opposed to 52 for Core.

These titles are considered Legacy T, their own contract. There are other titles specific to region, but to my knowledge they are not going to be backfilled once the incumbent employee retires.
Legacy classifications identify an employee's pension and retiree benefits. Initially legacy DTV had free TV, others paid a minimal cost.

if you are examples of people that work for at&t I can see why they are failing, smh, that person asked a simple question, perhaps you just could not answer it for them. I am glad I do not use at&t. I m here for simple info on a report of how jobs are vanishing in America, Again, smh at you.
