Yes be very careful. I personally experienced being accused of a violation that supposedly happened in 2012. Investigations began in 2018 and they have now fired multiple people for this exact same investigation. They’re looking for reasons to terminate and even though I provided proof that their accusations were false they absolutely dont care. They can fire you at any time and are not required to show any proof of whatever they are accusing you of. I lived through the account scandal period and it was beyond miserable and abusive for those of us who would not break rules to make managers look good. You can do everything right and still get tossed out like trash.

This happens to me currently. WF is investigating me for applying SBA loan. They did exactly what you said.. 2 people in the other line. I am very anxious eventhough i provided all the documents they need because i have not heard anything from them anymore.. it has been 3 weeks since the investigation interview.. I am a legit independent Contractor but I don't know if WF will terminate me for applying for SBA loan.

Someone out of left field from II just contacted me and is saying there were potential workplace violations in my work group. Yes, management lies, lies and takes little accountability. Is this what he’s after or has someone retaliated against me with a petty little thing? Do I really need to phone him back?

Anyone who says no executives are being fired has not been paying attention. There are a large number that are no longer with the company. You probably wont hear about it internally because they are just 'gone'.

Follow company guidelines and don't let a manager Harrass you into doing something illegal. Go to the Labor Commissioner, FBI or hire an attorney, if need be. Keep records of all interactions.

The fraud and internal investigations unit only targets the low level employees, but never investigate the executives. Keep in mind they report under the CFO John Shrewsberry responsible for corporate security and fraud investigations. That's why no executives gets fired.

Therefore, all corporate security functions must report externally to a trusted source such as the FBI and therefore, any misconduct can be investigated without interference by any WF personnel including HR who are the biggest violators of employee misconduct.

They've been harassing employees for years to cover up theirs and others misconduct. The WF employee handbook states employees are required to participate in internal investigations and if refuse be fired.

The moral of the story is play dumb until you get a lawyer for protection and give any data to got to the newspapers like the LA Times that took them down.
