what is minor? what if 1500 employees get cut today (small fraction) and you only know two, one? what if none hit the lines of business you interact with, what if that indirectly effects 5000 spouses and children, what if this site is not official and only rumors?

The workforce reduction process is inherently secretive and plagued with rumors. Companies release little or no details while planning such resource actions. On the other hand, the lives of each of us may be greatly impacted by these top-secret decisions - hence all the anxiety that workers may experience.

This site will only drive you crazy. It’s full of rumors and partial truths. The only thing you have to believe is that Verizon will always be changing and with that comes lay offs. If you are in a store, your time will eventually come. It may not be tomorrow but it will come.
Its a big company with over 150,000 employees. Just because you are not impacted tomorrow doesn't mean nothing happened.
Try and consider others and not just yourself.
If nothing MAJOR happens tomorrow, I’m totally over this site. I hope everything on here is wrong, and that life will be normal at VZ tomorrow.
