Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

What’s selling with integrity mean?

At my store we sell Hums bundled with plans and phones all the time. Tell hem it’s part of a package. It’s how I was trained and everyone else does it.

The other day a Hum got returned and customer said I didn’t sell with integrity said I didn’t tell him about activation or line fee. We never tell people about those anyway so I don’t see the big deal.

Should I be worried?

"its not an jackass, its a jackass. an is used before a vowel genius." -- @TcQW6Sd-ksk

If you're going to play the role of proponent of proper grammar, and label another a jackass, it's kind of important to use proper grammar in your correction. Your first and fifth words each need an apostrophe. A capital letter at the beginning of each of your sentences would have added further credibility to your self-appointed role of grammar policeman or grammar policewoman.

You just have to say that it's included in the bundle that was built to the customer. Don't let the customer say no or even think about what you are offering. Also tell them that the receipt is emailed. Don't give them a copy. You need to make commission and keep a job. If you don't slam them then some one else will.

If you have to word something a certain way in order to get somebody to take it, then you are not selling with integrity. It’s as simple as that. However, you are in luck. Verizon encourages you to not sell with integrity, contrary to the first day of training.

I always found it suspicious that customers don’t leave with a printed out contract clearly stating their monthly expenses and breaking everything down, then again if VZW did that you wouldn’t be able to slam customers as easily.

Seems like people are getting mad at what everyone knows happens at Verizon from coast to coast. If many sales were full disclosed they would never leave the store.

Verizon has this tool called the CCD, apparently you've never heard of it. It includes legal disclosures you are required to disclose to customers. I suggest you use infomanager to pull up the tool and start using it.

It IS a sh-- way to sell something. Your mgr will tell you to give "full disclosure" blah, blah, blah, then send you back to the floor to sell the exact same way. You won't get fired for it, but if you have a conscience you will still feel like crap.
