The rumor is that everyone is going next gen or getting turned to indirect within the next few years. Where does this leave all of these new, expensive smart stores that we just built? Will they be last to go because of the investment or first because of the maintenance?

I work in a smart store, pretty much a money pit, ( thank you Marni) . We have been sending inventory back every week for the last 5 or 6 weeks, new stuff, speakers, cases etc. We are down to 6 people working in our store with zero traffic and maybe one person a month hitting quota, glory days are gone, now we just walk around wondering who's going to get written up next and for what. 3sms that do nothing except check in an order here and there and write up coachings that are half truths. The GM leaves by 4 or 430 most days and is a big talker when the DM isn't around, but crumbles at his feet in person and on calls.
