Earlier this month, AT&T finally took the wraps off its long-teased skinny streaming bundle, called AT&T Watch. The service isn’t pretending to be a replacelment for cable: instead, it’s a collection of channels (mostly now owned by AT&T) for nearly the same price as your monthly Netflix subscription. Starting today, it’s available to some AT&T customers for free, or to the rest of us mortals for $15 a month.

The service is free for anyone who subscribes to one of AT&T’s brand-new unlimited data plans, which are confusingly called Unlimited &More and Unlimited &More Premium. Pricing for those is nearly the same as AT&T’s current unlimited plans: the cheaper Unlimited &More plan costs $70 per month for a single line, or $160 for four lines, while Unlimited &More Premium is $80 for one line, or $190 for four. Streaming is where its at, but if you have at$t hsia and not they're apps or services, they will thottle. Funniest quote I've read so far, "cancelling the dtv now app is like trying to cure aids." Being a former employee, I believe every word. Seen it first hand and was directed by bosses to sugar coat (basically lie), thus, the former employee reasoning. Just can't sh-- on people and sleep like a baby. Not making as much money now, but waaaaaaaaaaay happier.

Former employee who basically had enough. Switched to Tmobile (way quicker speeds and was quite surprised), uverse and hsia out this week. Saving money below employee discount (another big surprise). This company is definitely headed in the wrong direction. My biggest regret is that I wasted years with a company that just doesn't care about both customers or employees. Greed rules here and is dictated by nothing but cheating and lies (seen it first hand). Regardless, may not be making same wage, but am far happier. Keep the faith fellow former employees, it may be a long hard road out of Hell, but you can assure the direction is up.

I tried it today, I guess mentally I’m thinking Netflix, but when they say skinny bundle they really mean anorexia, not worth $15. 30 channels of which 20 nobody watches.
