So my source is telling me there is another rumor there will be a better offer coming for people to leave. Remember when Lucy promised Charlie Brown she will not pull the ball away again? He continued to fall for it. Ill believe it when I see it

If the offer was improved, more employees would wait. A short term increase would be followed by a slowdown in attrition. The announcement that severance would cap at six months instead of one year increased those accepting the offer. Most likely, AT&T will not fight unemployment because three months severance (reduced offer) and six months to a year unemployment will sound fair. Soon we will could be back to two months notice and no severance.
Nope, what I heard was higher cash payment. Personally i think is BS but time will tell.
I think they meant surplus coming later. And by "better offer" they meant that you have priority placement for other jobs.
