AT&T to launch Super Unlimited Plus &More Premium Enhanced with WatchTV and Hot Spot plan

While the real name isn’t quite that bad how about we lay off whoever is in the marketing department who somehow makes an unlimited plan so damn complicated with a terrible name?

I have a quota to make and they are theatening layoffs and I have to take 20 minutes to explain the difference between unlimited, unlimited choice, unlimited choice enhanced, unlimited plus enhanced, and unlimited &more / unlimited&more premium. What in the actual ****?

And don’t misquote one of those by $5 or your customer will rightfully be upset and you will get written up and fired.

Someone in corporate help us simplify this mess!!!! I beg you!!!

GUESS WHO WILL BE PAYING?

After a costly acquisition of Time Warner, AT&T may have found a new source of revenue. The telecommunications carrier quietly bumped customers' fees by about $1.23 each since April, which could mean an estimated $800 million in additional revenue per year for the company. The company booked $160.5 billion in revenue last year, most of us were expecting prices to be lowered, what happened With all the savings we supposed to get?

Let us not forget the extra money they make when the rate plan is not backdated.

And, it does not matter which department you are in when the customers call back complaining, because whomever they speak that with cannot explain why the bill is messed up so, hat rep transfers the customer and wham you have to explain why he acct has the wrong plan or more than one plan. These mistakes are caused because we all have goals and we hurry the customer to make our goals which of course causes errors. T is only getting worse not better, no matter how many unlimited plans they offer,m there will be mistakes and angry customers.,

Why have so many options?, just give the customer 2 options to click on.Cut out the sales guy all together.

Retail is hard. I don’t know how the new hires with zero wireless experience do it.

This is why I am so glad that my area does not get usable AT&T cell signals - we don't even to have to mention this crap.

In the days of DSL, there were 178 different plans. These primarily differed by marketing plan. The goal was to determine which plan had the best retention. The time period that the customer signed up would indicate the plan, but marketing would not take the time to sort these accounts. The results were wrong plans, prices, or contract period. Easier to remember a few good (obsolete) plans and continue signing up for these. One plan guaranteed a fixed $50/month for 768k. You did not want to receive these calls when the unhappy cust called in to ask why pay $50 when 3 meg was going for $25.

Because you have to remember all of them to compare the one the customer is on to the new one and remember prices, multiline discounts, autopay discount rules, what entertainment discounts and rules that plan has etc.

Or when a customer comes in for an accessory and you try to work an add a line sale into the mix — quick what is the multiline discount for line 5 on the unlimited plus enhanced plan going to cost so you can pitch that? Or would it be better to convert over to Unlimited &More Premium?

Why are you explaining the history of every plan to customers? That does sound difficult. Wouldn’t be easier to just find out what the customer needs and just show them 1-2 different options that would fit them best?

If it was easy, they wouldn’t need you. So keep asking them to make it easier and you’ll keep finding yourself on a layoff site.

It is so confusing!!! I think customers would pay a higher monthly fee if things were just simpler with less rules and small print. Include taxes and fees, no activation or upgrade fees, and no surprises. I bet fewer customers would cancel in that first few months!

Not to mention Unlimited Choice for Business, Unlimited Plus for Business, and Unlimited Enhanced for Business!! Totally different pricing. Good luck sales and customer care people!!
