The full article - In a layoff notification sent to the state, the financial institution said 115 workers who lost their jobs were based in the company's St. Louis Park office. Employees affected included those in customer-account management positions.

San Francisco-based Wells Fargo (NYSE: WFC) notified employees of the cuts last week. The company said it will assist employees with finding other jobs within Wells Fargo.

Wells Fargo’s home mortgage unit has announced layoffs at multiple offices over the past month, including about 100 people in the Charlotte, NC, region and 63 employees in Maryland.

The round of Twin Cities cuts come about three months after Wells Fargo told the city of Minneapolis it wants to expand its home mortgage campus in south Minneapolis. The bank’s plan calls for building a six-story parking ramp, allowing it to add about 1,250 more employees to the site.

Wells Fargo has about 11,000 employees in the metro area and occupies roughly 4 million square feet of office space.

The company is struggling to recover from a lingering scandal over business practices. Last week, the The Wall Street Journal reported that the bank is planning to restructure its wealth-management units in a move that could impact 12,000 employees.

Out of Fort Mill, South Carolina comes news that Wells Fargo Home Mortgage (not Wells Fargo Funding - the correspondent arm) is laying off 100 employees. And on Friday Impac Mortgage Holdings Inc.'s stock price dropped almost 5% on unusually high volume - it is now less than $10 per share.
