The office seems quiet but the message was clear. Support positions and administrative departments will get hit. Im wondering if a layoff can be announced to an individual on anyday.

Why do they want managers working from home? I thought they were going to be gone also.
I wouldn't expect anything immediately to happen. And AT&T is very good at trying to find volunteers to leave before anyone is laid off.

"Target compensation levels and benefits for Turner personnel will remain largely unchanged, as will the number of Turner employees.
It does mention a date, "In this confirmation, which expires, at the latest, on February 28, 2019". I would expect more consolidation of certain functions, like payroll and HR at that time.
The company will likely begin eliminating redundant positions within 90 days.
They usually announce surplus a few weeks in advance abd give you a 30-60 days to find an internal job. Fair warning, a lot of managers don't want a surpluses employee.
