Countless hours worked and still vulnerable to layoffs

Just think about it.. managers work countless hours and we're still vulnerable to get laid off?? HOW? LOL.

Area Managers are now encouraging their employees to take some vacation time because they know layoffs are coming. So they figured why have the employee constantly work and not have any vacation when they are going to laid off anyway. Company tactic for someone to not "snap" and realize wow I did so much for the company and they gave me the boot. Insanity. Or this is probably a sick way for when they do lay you off they don't have to pay you the vacation time you saved.

This company is sick and someone need to report their a-- to Trump or Department of Labor.

Years ago, there was a VP who said "IT IS WHAT IT IS" right in a townhall .. they don't give a rats a-- about us.. !

Sometimes it takes a stronger person to know when to quit, stressed out people locked in the cubicles, trapped in their own misery

Thats good advice I wish some of the newcomers to this country would head it.

Do the bare minimum required for your job..

Usually, if someone gets laid off, particularly occupational, they'll get their vacation pay added to their severance.

So, if someone knows they'll be on "vacation" (laid off) later, no sense taking vacation now, especially if your current job is to show up and twiddle your thumbs. 😉

Your mistake was thinking that they do give a rats a-- about you. No company does. They use that to prey on your emotions so that you'll be loyal to them, but they will never reciprocate that loyalty. A company that says you're a "family" is dishonest. You don't surplus family. There is never a reason to do more than what is expected of you. You will never see the fruits of that labor if you do. Shareholders reap that benefit, but workers never will. Stable productivity is in your best interest, where increasing it is not.
