If you have any tenure with this company you know it’s all smoke and mirrors. The plans, the rates, the devices. All of it is a mix of how we are robbing Peter to pay Paul. The company is bleeding from the inside out. We’ve stabbed ourselves to make the shareholders think we are profitable. All the while teaching sales tactics that would make the Wells Fargo scandal look like elementary school play we are not gaining any ground in true growth.
The company as a whole lost interest in survival as a customer oriented company when they did away with customer service in the retail locations. We have been slowly weaning customers to let go and become independent smart phone users. No longer are the days of, “Can you help me?,” relevant in our stores. We can gladly provide you with a phone number who can. Now the company is only interested in the network.
Sure Amazon is causing companies to rethink how they do business in all areas of retail. However, one thing Amazon can not duplicate and that is the human experience. Unfortunately Verizon sees their future as a kiosk handling out devices, while offering no human support. Call me Nostradamus but this will be the demise of Verizon. Customers are not loyal to Verizon, they could care less. It’s the people they return to see and of those same experiences are not duplicated.....Well I can order a phone online from Amazon, unlocked and use where ever I get the cheapest rate!
