Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Leave Randall alone! Maybe he forgot to take his CBTs!

I'm so sick of all of you high and mighties on this website. Randall is a busy man! How could he be expected to know what is ethical or unethical from year to year? Not only is he trying to run a Fortune 10 company, but he is also deeply involved in nanodegrees about machine learning so he can replace U.S. employees and overseas vendors.

Did some of you even stop to think that maybe Randall didn't have time to take his CoBC training? Come on! Let's support our man Randall!

"un-educated disgruntled employees"...really?

Pissed off because they are getting screwed, especially the long time employees, I would buy that.

Do you really think Trump is so complex that T needs to pay $600k to understand him? He is like a small child, say nice things about him, buy him something shiny and tell him what a genius he is.

This is straight up pay-for-play bribery.

If you cannot imagine Trump standing there with his hand out to Cohen saying "Where's my cut?" then you have not been paying attention the last year or so. Trump is proud that he is like that, he thinks it means he is smart.

@ T7x2ELb-jsj - there is a lot of truth in your analysis ..... and it's not really a case of older workers who do not have new or good skills that need to be terminated. there are plenty of older people here capable and skilled that would love to transition, and they are being targeted for surplus and out sourcing. i know a lot of people working late hours giving t free labor also we're all paying for these decisions that did not work.

Maybe we are disgruntled. We have a CEO who lost $4 BILLION dollars in a failed deal and he remains in place to continue his reign of destruction. The debt T has amassed is being paid for by the surplus of tens of thousands of employees, who just want to keep their jobs. T's only answer to cost containment is to surplus, then outsource/offshore the work. I don't want to hear about advances in automation and SDN, and the decline in legacy services. They are taking US jobs in very viable parts of the business and surplusing badged employees and then outsourcing/ offshoring the jobs. This is fact. Anytime they speak to lays off they say there is a decline in that part of the business but they are hiring in other areas. BS. The overall employee count is down and will continue to go down as we march into 2020. All to pay for leadership's incompetence. They care nothing about their employees or customers - although they talk a good game, but we all know better. Unethical, greedy SOBs. I can only hope that karma exists and one day they will all get theirs!

Alot of what seems like UN-educated disgruntled employee's. AT&T has done nothing anyone else has not done. AT&T was just one of many paying this consultant for an inside view of the new administration. As the surprise of Trump winning, many companies needed to know how to handle Trump and how he was planning on running things in this country.
