Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Work is slow

Copper and fiber splicing is really slow in southern NJ. I know from reading other posts that it is also slow on the wireless side of the house. Is it slow everywhere in the Verizon footprint or are there areas that are busy? Please post what area you work in and if you have a lot of work or not. I’m just curious how much work is out there or if it is slow everywhere.

Here in n.y brooklyn we haven't had any ot for like the pasted 7 month construction was shut down, last 3week they opened it up,,there's alot of work only like 35% of brooklyn is built with fios..so who knows what they have up their sleeve..they are probably waiting for their 5g trials to finish ..to deploy it and forget about fios ..plus they have directors in this place that dont know anything about the field work ,they think you can put poles in the ground with 2 guys,,or be in manholes by yourself ,thats there mentality..i say WOW what has this place come too...

Texas. Wireless side... all districts are struggling with Traffic and 5 Star calls to people who are at work & not answering the phone are the recourse for this lack of traffic...

Downhill for sure.
