EISP?!?! Work is being contracted out to Ericsson in US as it is in the rest of the world. You can accept the new compensation plan from Ericsson or hit the bricks. Read the fine print in the marvelous contract
I heard 4 years pay
@1zxg: 3 years pay? What are you talking about? Why would VZ offer 3 years pay? The Special EISP is in the contract. It is NOT 3 years pay. Verizon would lose plenty of employees if they offered the Special EISP. You're either dreaming or know nothing about the contract. Talk about making stuff up.
The company can pay 3 or 4 years of pay on an EISP and get rid of plenty of folks or pay that same amount over 3 or 4 years. It all depends on when they want them off the books. No doubt Verizon could loose 12000 employees by years end if they offered 3 years of pay to exit.
There was one department last year that got the smaller EISP, $10K+2200 per year of service capped at 30 years. Then only about one or two weeks later after that offer had expired, they were offered the Special EISP, 50K+2200 per year of service capped at 40 years. So, you never know what this company is thinking or what they will do.
Things changed on a dime one day this year. Word is now any eisp will be small and localized. The winter killed off any eisp pipe dreams with all the global warming cold. Next eisp is not until before the contract expiration, if at all. Why pay people to leave when they're needed?
