Why are people so mean on this site? I come here to find out what rumors are out there that might affect the future of my job and mostly what I read are nasty comments. It reminds me of the way our political atmosphere is these days. Grow up people...use this site for what is was designed.

We are just trying to be "Presidential"
There's a simple reason. Anyone who's not all smiles at work gets fired. Poor manager? Too bad. Verizon operates like the military - always respect the chain of command. Dissent is punished even when it's pointing out stupid or unethical behavior.
Sites like the Layoff.com give people a safe place to state their minds.
Site is being censored. Posts disappearing? Welcome to the facebook, google, twitter world.
Why are those who claim to be so tolerant of everything, so consistently intolerant when it comes to older individuals, to christians, and to conservatives?
Can't you practice what you preach, and accept everyone as having a valid opinion, and a place at the table?
There's too much hypocrisy.
You'll find out and feel the pain when your login is locked out and your called to meeting, your last on. Many families lives have been ruined and torn apart because of greedy stupid dumb liars at the top leadership and their malformed ideas driving Verizon into the dirt
Agree with the sentiments. It's easy to become a keyboard commando when there is not [easy] way to track who you are. That said, it makes me wonder how these people act in real life - but I am guessing I already know.
Unfortunately some people are just horrible, ugly and malicious and have no values. Ignore them. They simply don't deserve the dignity of your response.
