After nearly 12 years with the company I was just laid off one of 15 in my department

Just like others have said, keep you head up and be thankful you are walking away with a severance package. I was let go almost two years ago and was really worried about finding another job. Long story is I ended up at a regional bank where they offered me twice what WF was paying me. It look back on my termination as the kick in the pants I needed to find a better job. Look for the silver lining and I know it will work out for you too.
Hold your head up and I know right now that isn’t what you want to hear, because I’ve been here just as long, but most times I welcome that meeting for a layoff!
Can i ask what your location and/or dept was? Sorry you were laid off but you will probably end up better off!
Take your severance and unemployment and put yourself out there. Try not to look back as its depressing and those who kept their jobs will struggle to keep it for another day or month.
