there is no reason the so called accounting job can’t be done in four hours. and done with any necessary research. as a now former acct TL i did it for about four weeks and that was trying to figure the new process out. and with a CM that did not care about cashier accountability so cashiers knew long short didn’t matter. It just made it more difficult to find who was responsible for problems and then correcting if possible. in the end I didn’t care anyway after 20 yrs
We have the same 12/16 hours, I asked if I could do half accounting and half on floor was told no, guess what that’s exactly what one associate is doing. This is so not right to allow this to be going on favoritism at it’s fine.
The hours in accounting office remains to be 8-12 daily. Being a 26+ years associate with 20 years in accounting and 14 of those years as T/L I chose to stay with the club (where else is a 56 year old going). It seems the associates in accounting are extending their hours due to the fact the daily work load cannot be thoroughly completed. Cashiers are getting a free ride with overs and shorts because accounting does not know how to research and resolve. I'm constantly being pulled from my level 3 job to assist with issues and questions management has. They have been red flagged by H/O and once again asked for my assistance. I couldn't stay in the office because of my full time status regardless of the negotiating I tried, I was ignored. The T/L position was removed and pay was deducted. I was asked to go to P/T to stay in the office. Foolish...then I was offered a level 3 position. Talk about humiliating!! Cashiers were now above me! I have been asked again to return to the office and supplement my hours elsewhere. Guess what, fresh associates are now getting certified with a pay increase. Hope I pass! My accounting days are done. If full time status returns to the office at least I can say "told you so!"
I was told I couldn't stay and work the 12/16 hours in the office and in another area to make it to 34 (full time). But guess what? They let my replacement do exactly that. A nice f--- you to a 20+ year associate.
I also had to sign the severance papers which contained false statements, such as that I was paid for all of my personal time. Big fat lie - they stole over 100 hours of personal time from me that I EARNED. Just think of how much money the company stole from us regarding personal hours!
I wish all of the Sam's Clubs would burn down. (Not with people in it of course)
Why are certain clubs allowed to have their cash office personnel work more than 28 hrs if they have the cash machines and others don’t have to abide by that rule 16 hrs /12hrs shifts? The club manager said it’s okay should someone say something about it?
It's suppose to be 8-12 . One 16hrs/per week and one 12hrs/per week associate.
Yes I know of a full time, team lead in cash office. They didn’t have changes to cash office or jewelry remodel at the club. I think something is going to happen to that club, maybe their turn soon to go to fulfillment center.
So are there still full time accounting office associates that work 35 plus hr each week ?
Club discretion.
7-12 only
