DAP started today, no one left the yard ontime answering all the stupid questions and steps before you even see the ticket.

DAP = Dispatch Assistance Portal (New name for WFE)

WFE = Work Flow Engine

MST = Maintenance Splicing Technician (Cable Repair/Infrastructure Management part of Technical Field Services organization)

Its not all bad. As with most new rollouts, it will take a little while and a lot of tinkering to tailor DAP to cable maintenance functions. Its not exactly designed for highly experienced/trained employees, but for those folks new to that particular job function that its been aligned with.

It’s not a joke you’re the beta testers. IEFS/Prem Techs have had WFE for years. Why do you think the company is creating it? Think. They can put anyone in the job to click through screens and know how to handle a situation. Is your job more complicated than that? Hell yeah. But technician incompetence will drive customers off wireline.
