Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

SSR SURPLUS/CHANGE

SSRs to be offered a new position where they are given a smaller quota than an RSC, but given a leadership title with focus on escalations as an ASM.

AT&T is currently waiting for union contracts in the east to be finalized to avoid strikes once the surplus/change call is made.

If anyone has more details or suspected info. as such, please comment.

if this were to be true, wonder if it would be part time only?

Unless it’s a decent wage increase to offset higher insurance and no pension it seems silly to accept offer

Surplus would reduce headcount to 1 SSR per store. The new title would be the offer and/or maybe an RSC position

Surplus or layoff?

Surplus implies that headcount is lowered and some are kept
