Signing off for good- lets hear those self justifying replies- give me a break

Lets play some violins for those long hardworking , long suffering SMs- give me a break- for every good SM in this company (many of them left or were dismissed)-there was a poor one, who expressed no appreciation for ex- veteran line employees as they were dismissed by top management for supposed long term cost saving reasons- top management in most cases, never had to look over their shoulders to see if any SMs would object as there stores were being gutted- these SM were told to be quiet and be happy they still had jobs themselves - they should replace the veterans with any poor fool who walks in the door begging for a minimum wage part time temporary job who will jump up and down for having a chance to stay beyond rush- What a company- How do you guys look at yourself in the mirror in the morning before going to work for Follett . I guess most of you do- lets hear those self justifying replies now or not. Signing off for the last time your conscience or not.

There is a kool-aid cult that believed every harsh action was a long over due correction. Their stink has spoiled a good company. They believe they're exceptional. Dismissing or hurting a loyal 10 year employee or abusing 15, 20, 25 year employees simply because of the length of their tenure (and their implied wage) isn't management. The lack of leadership in this company has rendered it powerless.

3 months into my employment as an SM with Follett, I was told I had to lay off one of the hardest working people in my store. They had been with the company 10 years. The choice was to either leave or have hours cut from 40 a week to 20. I told this employee to be patient with me and hang in there and I would get them back. 6 months later, I promoted them into a full time management position making more than what they were before.

Most SMs are just as disgusted with upper management as you are.
