Anyone else have examples in their garages of unbearable new rules management forces prem techs to do? How about managers going above and beyond to write people up on b.s. issues that the union doesn't lift a finger to stand up for?

I'm in a very affluent area. People don't want to hear about a service which is notorious for dropping service in storms. If I even bring up DTV they laugh and show me how much better their Altice 1 is. Money is not an objection so they wonder why it's so cheap. BECAUSE IT S---S!
Exactly... Our region is supposed to do the same... Demo, demo, demo... Just one thing though... The public hates DirecTV so much that we are not supposed to actually mention the name DirecTV! The public is so inundated with flyers, phone calls and demo's that there is public DirecTV fatigue. We are supposed to refer to our "Premium Entertainment" packages. Sounds like we're trying to sell an escort service or some kind of s-xual services! WTF???
Same stupid rules in retail. If you come in to buy a cable I have got to show you a DirecTV demo even if you already have it.
Prem techs are the worse candy a-- brown nosers I have ever scene, they are attached to their supervisors at the hip.Every time I make a move that they dont understand, bamn ! On the phone to their super ! And dont get me started on how they all have the little boy haircut and dress like boyscouts ! Aaagh !!! Get a pair !!
Union service tech service bubble popped already.
They make your life a misery? Do everything in your power to make sure they don't make their numbers.
The service tech bubble starting to pop, legacy and DTV techs will be found only in history books
I feel for you...Core MST side is getting the same, micromanaging, harassment suspensions for any little thing! Just biding my time to get the hell out, retire early and go someplace I like and treats you like a adult!
Document every thing. Yes AT&T is trying to get rid of wire /premise techs. AT&T is trying to save money by having those techs quit so they don't have to pay severance and unemployment. File a grievance every time your so called "manager" (God Damn, what a joke they are from what I've witnessed) even look at you sideways. Management is more terrified than the technicians are.
Prem techs need to realize and learn how to use their representation, and stop being intimidated by their so called managers. Read the working agreement. Don't be afraid to tell them they are wrong. File a grievance for every record entry. Win or lose, you have that right. Make them sit in a grievance for every write-up.
You should be focused on finding a new job.
Don't worry, soon will be over
You mean the blatant lies and open harrassment?
