Thread regarding CVS layoffs

We are doing online retailers a favor

We further thinned our anorexic ranks. We restructured our infrastructure at field level into chaos. We say offer help and walk to item although demand says differently. We continue to shift and mount stress to the lowest levels where customers see our faces and our frustrations. This interaction is an experience for customers who have many many options besides brick and mortar.

This isn't a bad thing, for any online retailer...not just Amazon. The implosion is only held off by the turn and churn from those that have learned and burned.

Someone will always raise their hands for their turn jump into the meat grinder for a little more of that dollar....step right up....we need you!!!

When the dust settles? When is that? Consumer Value Stores or Changing Very Soon......my point is the dust doesn't settle because WE don't know in our core WHAT we to be. RX house continues to evolve at a frantic rate and with more and more edge cutting ideas exposing safety concerns that everyone seems to ignore. We keep our customers and dollars close and our legal team closer. FS house continues to cater to the polar edges of the customer spectrum. One type can monopolize a single register with 7 separate transactions and the other is an convenience shopper who just wants in it is the fundamental reason why no training exists beyond modules. Lack of talent catches up to the individual, not the position. The position remains stagnate as it cycles through the eager turned weary until something better comes their way and their loyalty comes up empty, as it should be since we did not truly invest in YOU. And by no means is this just a CVS problem. Retail is changing. What it becomes is anyone's guess.

Bad time to be moving up for “ a little more of that dollar”. Retail is changing drastically. If you grow your salary without growing your talent it will catch up to you eventually.

The future has companies investing in their employees by providing an education, not just a job. CVS wants no part of that! Find a job that invests in your future, the money will be there, and your value will grow.

When the dust settles there will be a streamlined version of brick and mortar, created by a vision we have not yet developed, be a creator.
