Just read an artical about the top 100 companies and their CEOs. Randal is #10 out of 100 as the highest paid @ 28.7 million. He or any CEO is not worth that kind of pay.

"That’s why the T stock price hasn’t moved ..."

There's two kinds of stock, growth stock and income/dividend stock. AT&T is in the latter group and the dividend went up in the last year. If the stock moves, and it might if the hype on the 5G is true, then that is an extra bonus.

Counteracting that is rising interest rates, which is a drag on dividend stocks. Right now, the dividend rate is still a healthy margin above interest rates.

Now, you are talking about self serving Stephenson, he said that the will disrupt the status quo, a game changer called DTV, he was right, he destroyed a relatively successful company into the mess we have now, this deal looked more like a 10 billion deal, how many jobs were list to pay for this fiasco?

The whole thing t’s simply not performing well enough. MANAGEMENT WITH THEIR TALKING POINTS BS ABOUT INNOVATION That’s why the T stock price hasn’t moved in a decade. And until that changes, AT&T stock isn’t going anywhere, REAL TECHNOLOGIES COMPANIES DO, as opposed to the used car salesman known as RandyBS

Well, I went through the AT&T Annual Report very carefully over the last two days. The big take away was revenues were down (in a strong economy no less!!), expenses were up, and operating losses continue with International. Not a very good combination. AT&T has never been very good at increasing revenue in a sustainable manner so it looks like more expense will need to be cut this year. While revenue was up in International, the cost of the build out and customer acquisitions still leads to operating losses and AT&T is at very significant size disadvantage in this market. I can't see why they continue to wasting capital on this business.

Clearly AT&T overpaid for DTV at a time when, at best, it was peaking and is now clearly in decline with cord cutting really beginning to bite and with over the top increases unable to make up for the revenue losses. Another bad investment and poor deployment of capital. Let us all hope the Time-Warner deal was better thought out and a better use of capital then what we have seen under Randy's leadership to this point.

Just based on failed T-Mobile deal giving them 4billion in oopsy sorry money. And the unnecessary Dtv purchase when it was already clear well before that people were already cutting the cord and the norm of paying for big tv packages was on the way out. Yeah he needs to go. But those that serve under him don’t care, they let it all happen too. We’re a lost cause.

But don’t worry, 5g will save us all....
