Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

This makes no sense

Why are there job postings for Solution Specialists on Monster when it's all but certain they are the next to be cut by Verizon?

How does this make any sense at all?

We hire and we fire, at the same time. We've always done this.

JUST STOP! STOP!

While we all know the position of Solution Specialist will not go on forever, SS will not be laid off. Ok so just stop. I’m not sure if its one person or a whole slew of people that like to come to this forum and cause panic and fear. Its just awful.

Solutions Specialist are not being laid off. It isn’t happening anytime soon......MEANING....not this yr....next yr....or the yr after that. SO STOP.

ONE DAY.....YES. Solutions Specialist will finally be Pip’d out, laid off, fired for attendance, but it aint happening now. STOP.

They keep advertisng retail jobs on the local radio. Even offering a signing bonus.

But that's because no one wants a $hit retail job here in the SF Bay Area and no one wants to work for a $hit wannabe tech company like Verlieson.

Drp, they will not cut reps just to bring in new reps. If they cut, that head count or position is gone. Lrb, the internal job posting website currently has 34 Solution Manager positions posted. Not sure that they would be cutting that position completely out, but I could see the, reducing in some areas.

I saw there were some postings for my store for ss and business rep (manager said were not backfilling any positions). Unless they're planning on laying off tenured reps. How would that work? Would a severance be offered if you get commission compensation?
