Our club lost 3 managers. The GM and 2 assistants. No tears were shed over the loss of those managers.... But the unending shake up and layoffs has everyone nervous. There's no telling if you're going to have a job from day to day.
Texas
1 was fired prior to visit for other reasons
1 was relocated to another Sam's
The marketing team is here right now. So far our overnight manager was walked out. Marketing and AP were talked to but are still here. I guess they'll be offered positions in the club still. No word on anyone else.
My club lost 1, 1 was transferred out. Another club lost 2. Georgia
Has nothing to do with visits it’s about the money you make. One day you will find out the hard way once you have 20 years in.
Lost our GM and night manager Columbus Ohio
You clubs that lost 3 and 4 managers must of gotten bad visits over and over again. My club lost 0
8160 lost APM, Grocer Manager, and ON
Every CM should be displaced and then shuffled to new stores. It is the only way we can get the right consistency for members. Why should a mediocre club manager run a complex club??? The right answer is not bc nobody else with enough qualifications applied. I agree that the best leaders should run tough clubs and the newer/average managers should run the less difficult clubs.
I know it seems weird for some to see a great leader pulled out bc you think the less complex club will fall apart. In my experience, the hourly associate are what make the good clubs good. Leadership definitely plays a role but if a club is running on all eight cylinders it is usually due to the hourly associate making that happen.
9 in three clubs in an area where a club was just closed. 5 managers came from a club that was closed with 2 million dollar lost and employees that were stealing them blind, great leadership ...
8 club managers
16 assistants
The CMs were displaced - not let go!!!! 75% will return, but it may be at a different facility. There are too many great club managers running easy clubs when the should be running tougher “complex” clubs - out of their comfort zone.
The total should be adjusted after March 17th.
Lost three.. two let go and one transferred to another club
Makes no sense that they let GM go from a club that has turned a huge profit in last 3 yrs and club is maxed on sams share bonus $3250...oh yeah lets fire the ones that know how to run a club and hire some young yahoo that knows nothing about our company but will work for less $$
One APM and that's sadly it. The APM didn't deserve to be let go, he is one of the hardest working manager I have ever seen.
6383 lost 0

They fired my GM and our Membership/ Marketing Manager yesterday. They also demoted another manager. They told us we are getting a new GM and 2 other assistant? That makes no sense.
We lost 4.
