If you think about it a little, Verizon is also racists/classist because smartphones are less prevalent among the poor and minorities than whites. Same goes for cars, computers, health insurance.....
There are so many things that you need money for. Which get to the core idea behind the video: a capitalist society, with inequality that comes with it, is bad. Effectively this is Marxist thinking wrapped in a stupid Engadget video.
Of course I'm pretty sure that the none of the writers of that video opt to pay more taxes than required by law.
