New club hours 10-8:30
Club pick up to expand and have members orders picked by 10am. Member able to pick up orders between 7-10am even with club closed till 10am. More staffing during the day including fresh areas.
What happens to receiving lead and clerk?

Why would vendors change? They don't start coming in until 5/6am at the earliest anyway. If we're doing 3/4am-noon they won't notice a difference.
What hours will vendors be received ? And by who?
Yeah you'll probably have to unload everything and rack it yourself. I have 200 pallet nights I'm alone with no help. That's the way everything's been going.
uumm ...can't unload fresh trucks between 12 and 3 am or 12 and 4 am which ever is adopted.....because no one will be there.....................so do you run all the trucks to the steel yourself?....no help at all?...paper , water , dc's etc??....or does it stay on the dock in the morning and get ran out after club closing?
I agree we all need to be open minded and except change. At this point it’s all we can do and support one another.
Heartland express are a drop and go delivery anything else is live unload like Frito-Lay, Pepsi, coke, freezer cooler and fresh trucks come between 12am to 5am and have to be unloaded immediately, so all this can be done in that time frame if it goes to those new hours. Anything is possible just need to be open minded and change your ways to make it work.
No one says trucks have to be scheduled at 10am or 2am. All my trucks including dcs get scheduled from 4am-noon. You can schedule to your needs.

Seriously, is it really necessary for some of you to be so rude with your comments? It seems you have anger issues, let people comment what they think is going to happen, it may or may not, no one knows until it happens. Be nice, this is a worry to a lot of associates that doesn't know what may or may not happen to them and their job.
This rumor makes more sense than some of the stuff posted on this site. It results in both labor cost savings and increased service to the members by having more associates present to assist when the club is open. In addition it would cause more members to use the internet for club pickup before 10AM which would then serve to drive more website usage and sales.

Like it was back in the late 80’s and early 90’s. History repeats itself...
They've been testing the night shift change and not opening until 10 in some stores. Doing both at the same time makes sense as it gives the 4 to Noon shift 3 extra hours with no members in the store. Costco opens at 10, always has.
These changes would be a nightmare in our club. We are busy between 7-10 AM. Even our members for club pickup usually get additional items. Sam's will lose business with these hours. Not to mention stocking while we're open is an inconvience to members. One of the things I hate about Wal-Mart is shopping while associates are stocking.
You will get 1hr lunch dumb--s. It’s Walmart routine now.
Bs Sam’s associates do not work 9 hour days it’s 8 1/2 hours shut the f--- up!
