Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Position Eliminated.

We talk about how much we do at work in our current position. I for one can tell you, my responsibilities have been cut in half. I refuse to set around and complain about the changes that are coming. I will find things to do to help other areas in the club. If we all did THAT and spent more time being productive and less time gripping and complaining like you are the only one that matters .. Believe me, managers can tell the difference in one who is productive and one who is a slacker.Stay off your cell phones, stop standing around talking,stop sneaking in those extra breaks and stop pretending you are busy when a manager walks up. I will guarantee you that when the changes come , if you are going above and beyond, you will be offered better position if and when your current one is eliminated...

To Miss I’ve always been a favorite....you are Soooo wrong. The 2 people let go from audit in my club we’re truly the best of the best. No position offered... there has to be a position to offer..DUH....they want rid of all the associates that are making good money period..Get out if you can before you’re too old to go anywhere else. Preferably out of retail. It’s dead!!

From my experience, people who claim they work hard hardly work at all.

Quit talking about Brownnosers and slackers. Managers want who makes them look Good, bottom line. Anyone else talking that crap is lazy and does bare minimum and upset because someone else out works them. I have been with the company 31 years and I can tell you, I always have been a favorite and it’s because I work, very hard, and not only that but get results. Quit crying about everything out of your control and control yourself. Won’t get rid of you if you are a great worker, if not, the door will hit you in the behind.

I'am a 28 year assoc. And know every year we go through a restructure of some sort. It is just a

matter of time for everyone. They, WalMart,has to do what they have to do in order to survive. It

just so happens to be effecting there long and short term good assoc's , while the slackers and

brown nosers get over looked. If they want to make sure the Clubs that are left standing survive,

they have to change there Management in each Club. If the slakers and brown nosers are the

only ones left ...... they will not survive .

i agree 100% with @RkZVaL0-sks. The favs & slackers get away with so much. There's no one to speak to about it cyz they are allbest friends. Team leads and managers. If u knew the things that go on in this Texas club. It's insane

I agree with what this 25 year associate is saying. I have seen so many young associates who will hide and be on their phones or going out for a smoke many times during their shifts. And I have noticed in all the turmoil that is happening it's these lazy people who are complaining.

Not the hard working dedicated ones.

@RKZVAL-HMH

I totally agree with everything you said. My post is not aimed at the hard working associates, long term or short term associates. I know people are on here are just expressing their concern out of fear. I'm talking about the ones who slack and don't do there jobs while others are busting their asses..We all have them in our clubs..When I talked about the gripping and complaining I m talking about in club, not on here. And usually the ones that are gripping and complaining are the ones that are not doing there jobs and are just standing around while the rest of us pick up the slack. My heart goes out to everyone who is in fear of losing their job or position. NO ONE just have to live in fear for their jobs.

If you have been with the company 25 years then you must be a manager. I to have been with the company many years. And when you refer to work ethics you are talking about our age group. Heres the problem. The associates that are being eliminated are our age group. These are the people who are concerned on this site.These positions are the long term associates who have worked hard and were given these positions based on merit. We are not near as concerned with the 20 year old college student working for Sams while they get through school.These are the people who have worked hear many years have given crazy time and have done for the most part what has been asked of them. You should see from just the few past weeks how Walmart, Sams will pull everything out from under you without notice. What an awesome job they did shafting all these hard work ethic associates last minute. Thats what concerns people on this site. Im not hearing gripping, complaining im hearing fear! And brainwashing associates into thinking if you work hard you will always have a place is a crock! If there is not an opening position...you will be let go. As a Manager, you know you can not create a position for some one that does not exist.

@Rkzval-ezr.

I have been through a lot of changes in my 25 years with this company( all the way back when Wal-Mart bought Pace) and I'm only saying if we are doing our job and as long as the club you work in is not one that shut down, you will be just fine..Changes are always going to come but if you are doing what you are getting paid to do then there will always be a place for you in your club.

Plain and Simple.

Nope, Iv been with the company for 25 years. It's actually called work ethics. Which a lot of people don't have anymore.
