I have to come in Thursday morning for a mandatory manager meeting. The PTC participated in the first half of the meeting. Anyone else hear this?

Just because a GM is off doesn't mean nothing can happen.
My GM is off the rest of week.
One of our Mgrs told us today it probably will come down Thursday
I meant to say “is participating” not “participated”. It will probably just be our Club Mgr bagging us. I will let you know Thursday.

RkG65qM-1oom. you are a fool to put such garbage about an hourly ptc. they know nothing about changes layoffs closings etc. i would really like to know where your so called info comes from. preparing severance pkg at store level is even more absurd. all you idiots need to stop posting stuff you know NOTHING about. it makes you look irresponsible and plain stupid if you are talking trash like this in the club. you should get a coaching
To the person that said the PTC knows about all the layoffs before they happen, you’re absolutely wrong. We do nothing with the severance packet, that’s all done through market level, so get your facts straight. We’re just as in the dark as everyone else as in who’s going to be next on the chopping block and when it’ll happen
The PTC knows of all the layoffs before anyone. They have yo fill out paperwork for homneoffice for your severance package.
PTC has been in our managers meetings.
no ptc will or has been involved in mgr meetings or calls. they just need to know how to key out correctly, transfer or move to different job title. then it may be their turn. that job like all the other eliminations can easily be done on 20 hrs a week.
Well I am the ptc and haven’t heard of anything I really don’t think this is happening now .... not to say it won’t happen in the future I don’t believe is now

I am a PTC from Ohio and have not heard of a Thursday morning confrence call. I have not been in the loop for several years, No training or development.

You think they'd leave them in their positions for when they close more Clubs next week! There is no consideration being given to any of us. I'm seriously considering selling all my stock. All that investing for nothing.
I am not in PTC but I feel badly for them and everyone else that has been affected. It is hard to change when you have been doing the same job for so many years. The reason so many of us stayed in our positions is because we did them well. I was the Team Lead in Business Office and it was hard to decide what to do when my job was taken away. I had to think about health insurance because I have cancer, as well as my Critical Illness. In the end I decided to stay and take another position. The atmosphere in our club is tense to say the least and everyone waiting to hear what other changes are coming. I check in here from time to time because I want to know what else is coming. I sincerely hope that everyone affected will find another position or a job with another company. I know longer look at Sam's as a career, it is a job. Good luck everyone!
If there is a call we should know the topic closer to the day of meeting. Would only believe what is said here if multiple people confirmed the same topic and outcome.
Yep . Because of all the bad publicity the Company got on how they handled the closing of all the Clubs, they had to figure out a way to let go the heart and soul of our Clubs .... The PTC's. So,
through a conference call with all the Managers.... they will be given the news. At least it will be somewhat respectful . It will be a sad day for many people.
