So I have won my way to summit and now there’s a bogus charge against me that’s not even true and I’m getting a final write up? Can you believe that blank? Okay so why offer the stupid trip if you want to be cheap about it? I disputed the write up and they tell me it doesn’t matter if your disputing it your still getting the final write up. Okay so I thought if there was a dispute it wouldn’t apply until the dispute was settled, but no . I’ve started looking for another job.,who needs to work for a stupid greedy company like that?

They don’t save money they putting you on a final. The next person after you goes to Summit. The trip is prepaid.
don't give in, give up or take no from the first union rep or attorney you talk to. They count on you doing that. There was a report that talked about controlling travel costs by eliminating a certain number of Summit winners. There are people at ATT paid to make your life worse.
ATT has always reserved the right to do this but rarely followed through because they needed salespeople from 2001 to 2012 and didn't want to upset everyone, have them quit and go to Verizon if a story like this got out. Now they want out of COR and retail in general. They need money badly. They laid off all the indirect folks earlier last year so they wouldn't have to send some to summit. That may sound crazy but they really do have a report that measures how much they've cut down on travel costs and summit costs and getting rid of certain roles earlier in the year helped them hit their desired lower costs. No doubt, you were part of a new effort to cut down on summit attendees so they could lower their costs. Contact your union, contact an attorney. yes they have the legal right to not send you to summit but because they track the numbers in a report and how many people they denied due to trying to control costs, you could show bad intent in a contract.
