CFS has had a freeze on hiring since 2016 👀 we are busy and need more people. That says enough 🤷🏾♀️
One Fiber is slowing wireless. All circuit orders go thru them and VZB, and they take Twice as long to deliver service for a cell cite.
Yep, yearly layoffs are the norm at Verizon/Verizon Wireless
You can be sure of one thing - not everyone that is a VZ employee today will be at the end of 2018. The axe will come swinging sometime this year. That is a certainty.
Net. Ops. here in Southern area has nothing going on. Techs driving around taking pictures of their cell sites to have something to do. Has to be a bad problem at sites to roll a tower crew out. Things look like they are fading away. Very strange, but not spending any $ on maintenance. Storm is brewing I think.
We are all sitting around doing nothing in Network Ops too. Antenna contractors all saying same, nothing to bid on for VZW 2018 cell site builds/adds. Scheduled Preventative Maintenance on cell sites has been slashed to 15 minutes work total for the year per site. They're toying with the idea of only calling out 10% of after-hours cell site outages (leave it till Monday) in NJ and other areas. Its been over a year since any environmental inspections were done at cell sites. All this spells more opportunity to dispose of more of Network Ops this year. Last November was one of the worst motivation killers we've seen in over 20 years. Do the math, its all in negatives.
