Because they can,and will get replaced with bozos off the street at lower pay ,that is what verizon does to their management ,doesn't matter how much time you have ,they just rif and throw you to the wolves,and now most i say like 90% of the manager have no field exp they just push paper and dont know the job,i heared some new hires went to do a double wood job and their 188 test set was red meaning high voltage ,so these kids are new temp hires with no guidance ,called their manager and he said just do what you can to get the job done..the maneger is suppose to go out to the job and verify and if high voltage is present call the electric company,that manager should be fired,what is the company going say if that kid got electrocuted,,oh im sorry..thats the kind of managers we have ,oh lets get rid of the managers that know the job and lets save some money for VZ by hiring dumb--ses
