Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Sorry...

I've been there. Yes they don't give you much notice they are closing. They will speak to you about a severance package but unless you are full time, it's not that great. They have managers come in from other local Sams and Wal-Mart's and interview you,but you have so many people with only a few jobs available. Most people that were with the company the longest were not found positions. There were people there less than 3 months and transferred. You must also have open availability to transfer. I feel sorry for all the people that will be without a job.

If you are a hard worker then you have nothing to worry about. Keep in mind. All clubs that closed haven't been profitable in years. Why keep a club open that losses money? Hello!? Get with your club manager they have more info about why. Mine is great she tells it how it is. Open book. Great team at our club.

I am sorry to hear about the way it was handled however I believe that most people that are hard working will pick themselves up and dust themselves off and move on. Do not think for one second this was because of what you did or did not do because that is not the case. Unfortunately this is how big businesses do things these days and it has nothing to do with you.

Hold your head up high and know there are other jobs out there looking for you, that need you and will hire you in a second. Keep positive and believe in yourself. You got this...
