Recently when I have been clocking in I have been getting a message that I have a meeting coming up this week with our club manager. Another coworker in my department has the message but nobody else in our department does. What could this mean? Any ideas or any similar situations? With all of the closings and the layoffs its a bit concerning.

I like how the company has ran off lots of talented meat cutters and cake decorators ( among many other skilled associates! ) over the years that were making a decent wage. Now the are scrambling to pay a higher wage to those poisons. But now all they will be doing is over paying associates that are keyed into those positions that don't have the talent and experience.
Don't worry, if you were losing your position or something, they wouldn't give you any warning. They just call you in last minute and hand you the papers.
