Has anyone heard rumors of a surplus coming soon in the Tech Dev organization?

Are these still happening? Or was this rumor confused with the Tech Ops surplus exercise which seems to have more details behind it. Tech Dev went through a surplus exercise last October. I don't believe Tech Ops was affected then. Is it their turn now?
Rumor confirmed. Techdev layoffs about to occur
Yes. I can confirm the rumors of the surplus affecting the Technology Development org lead by Pam Parisian (President Tech Dev) who reports to Melissa Arnoldi (President Technology Operations). Contractors and FTEs
I think they are targeting mostly off shore employees . I truly believe folks that are in tech dev in the states are safe.
"Of course there will be cuts"... thanks for not adding any value to the discussion.
Tech Dev is a cost center. Of course there will be cuts, just like every year. Margins are shrinking. Customer base is shrinking. AT&T has no choice but to cut costs.
I think it's hard to say who will be targeted. From what I know, each VP group often has a unique "selection criteria". It looks to me like we only have good people left so the cuts that they make now are not 'trimming fat'. It's going to hurt. I'm not sure how the work is going to get done anymore. We have nothing left.
Any idea of who in Tech Dev they are targeting this time (developers, project managers, different parts of the country, etc)?
Does anyone have any information on 2018 cuts in this area? I've heard this group (Tech Dev) is $100M over budget and they will need to make cuts now to reduce. Anyone have any information?
Tech Dev surplus announcements in March - out in June - Hiring in Hyderabad and Bangalore or bringing in freshers
Yes, they cut people in the fall of 2017. I figured they would not be doing cuts again so soon.
Might be cuts there .. they just recently in late 2017 laid off 900 ppl from off shore.
I am speak of the Technology Development org lead by Pam Parisian (President Tech Dev) who reports to Melissa Arnoldi (President Technology Operations). I believe there are going to be cuts there. Approximately 10k people are in this group in total. I wanted to know if anyone here has heard this?
What org are you speaking of?
