Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Full Disclosure Here

No I will not tell you exactly who I am, but I'll tell you that I was a high performing CHE that worked on several special projects. I was chosen to be let go by mt coach in August because my coach KNEW how badly the unknown was destroying me. Once I was let go, my performance (in the meatnime before the release date) picked up, and I was selected for three interviews for two of the Healthcare Finder positions, as well as a position in the Government side. I took the position s a Beneficiary Service Rep role because it is a guaranteed contract for 7 years. This meant SECURITY. It's a really hard position to learn, but it means job security. I was earning $19 an hour as a CHE, and an earning 40K including bonuses as a BSR. Just sharing this info with anyone who would like to know.

OP here. Just hoping the info would help someone. There are other positions out there! Even if not within Humana. Best wishes to all.

I agree with the last two posters and call BS. There are so many things wrong with this original post that I know it is not true. Maybe you had good intentions, OP, but you are clearly misrepresenting facts and it's not helping anyone.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but as coaches we don't have the ability to select who gets laid off because we feel the uncertainty is killing them. I have had associates ask me to lay them off but I can't do that. You can't fudge assessments in order to lay someone off. If you were RIFd there was a good reason. It's hard for some to understand that. No one wants to admit they are not in the top tier. High metrics is not the only factor. Some with high metrics are just not right for the position and it shows in other areas. That's fantastic that you have retained employment within Humana. You beat the odds! Congrats! It does give others hope. But don't become too complacent, contract or not, your position is never guaranteed!

Insert eye roll here because most of us RIFd CHEs know who you are and know this is only partially true. I'm sorry if you feel as though you have to prove yourself. Good luck!
