Know this is happening after the tax credits; which could have saved all the jobs. How do we get this info out??

Op,if you feel it newsworthy,call your newspaper. It really isn’t. The press watches these sites, too...last layoff, there was a press person posting asking people to reach out. Not happening now, this isn’t a press worthy incident. Please, let it go, or empower yourself and call in the news yourself
What was reported was 250 more not 700.
The layoffs were preannounced in the news in November of last year...they said they would be doing more layoffs in 2018...it has already been reported!
I am not the OP and while I understand that tax credits won’t save a job that isn’t needed, I’m also surprised that there have been no news articles. There was news coverage after the Feb 2017 round, and - correct me if I’m wrong - wasn’t that only 500? With this round 700 and last round 1300, 2000 in four months would be more newsworthy than 500, no?
I don’t expect anything to come out of media coverage, I am just surprised by the lack of it this time.
This is asinine. Humana paid you to do a job and that job is now gone. Is no more. Why would they use Tax relief money or any money to keep paying you to do something they don't want doing. Help me here, PLEASE. Where is your logic. How can this make ANY sense to anyone. This way of thinking won't help you. If you were impacted, as I was, then look for another job. If you like working at Humana (many of you appear not too) then apply within. If not get out. Even the most gullible naive fool wouldn't expect anyone to pay you for something they didn't want doing... (Government excepted). Enough already. You need to understand this is real, you have been impacted and you need another job. Or you don't and you are just a blow hard.
The tax credits wouldn’t have saved the jobs, Humana is going in a different direction, so 700 laid off isn’t the big news, the bigger news is the new direction it’s going. If you feel so strongly about it being in the news, call your local paper. Companies layoff all the time, this was announced it was going to be done, the news coverage for it was in November of last year, with the huge layoff, early retirement and more expected layoffs in January.

Still not a big deal in the news world. What the he'll difference will it make in your life it's reported by media? Do you think it will get back 700 jobs? Give me a break.
It has been a week and still nothing in the news. It doesn't take that much investigating. 700 is a big deal especially when the "wonderful" news about giving bonuses to the employees were announced the same day the layoff emails went out.
What would be the point of reporting to media? No one is promised a job for life.
700 is a big deal but H@H did not save the money that it was projected to save so they axed the majority of the program. If you ran your own business and you were pouring money into something that didn't make it save money, you would do the same thing....
And what will reporting it do?
I just reported it to Drudge-- they tend to research all sides and not just take the standard media route.

And 700, while it s---s, is not the 1300 from last quarter, especially when it was already announced last year in the news there would be more layoffs in January
There have been millions of layoff articles over the past year. You act like companies never restructure How many have done this in the last two months. It is business

OP’s question is about why no media coverage. It usually takes a day or two.
Tax cuts would not have saved our jobs. The program was cut for reasons unrelated to the current economy. It has to do with return on investment. We were not getting results from the Luve Healthy program that were originally projected. Pretty simple stuff
It's obvious that they are moving fully away from telephonic. Pt guy made no secret that his intention was to focus on in home care plus the acquisition of kindred...well, the writing has been on the wall for a while.
Not sure why you think the tax credits would have saved jobs, OP. HAH is clearly being downsized for another reason.
I went on 3 different news websites. All I see is Humana's earnings. I guess they can't report it until there is an official press release from Humana.
