Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

How do I make it known I want to be laid off?

Is there a way? I'm done with Humana but I don't want to just quit. I'll admit to being a coward and needing that safety net that is severance to try and move on.

Is there a way I can indicate to somebody I wouldn't mind being a part of the next round (which we all know is coming) without putting a big target on my back?

Hate to inform you but I don't think that anyone on here is drinking Kool-Aid. I think they are doing shots of Fireball or something. Now do ME a favor and go get another job so the shot drinkers can take 2 more shots. Things are getting REAL around here! Ha!

I would suggest making semi-negative posts in chat. Nothing inappropriate or that would get you fired. Just make sure that they know you aren't drinking the kool-aid. Also when they send out surveys about job satisfaction be completely, brutally honest. Don't volunteer for anything extra and do the bare minimum. That should do the trick then sit back and dial for dollars until they lay you off.

My thought is that we either live with the uncertainty of not knowing when the next RIF will be or find another position elsewhere and give your 2 week notice. Do not expect a voluntary lay off with severance; not happening!

Those leaders took their positions with the forknowledge that they will transition the program from telephonic to in home. Why do you think they hired ptguy anyway? Does no one remember his impassioned speech about how in home care was his life? The new leaders were hand picked to make that change

And the people saying no more layoffs are not the same ones saying it before. If you haven't noticed, there has been a huge regime change! Stop and think about this, do you think these people would take a job knowing they were going to be out of work within months? Do you think they would hire all new executive leadership just to sink the ship? Give these new executives some time to try and salvage the MF/ER debacle before you just assume to know about an April layoff! Am I living in LaLa Land, of course not, but I choose to not be negative Nancy. I choose to give them a chance.

If you really want to make your intentions known, get on one of those town meeting calls like we just had and scream, "My name is__ and I want to be laid off. How do I make that happen?" That should do the trick.

People saying no layoff in April were the ones saying no more after the previous ones either. Do you actually trust and have that much faith that Humana won't do it again? Keep on living in the world of unicorns and rainbows.

The problem with volunteering, you may or may not meet the criteria of who they’re looking to layoff....say you are an amazing bilingual performer, and you volunteer, but there is a low productivity slacker with horrible scores....you really think they’re going to accept you?

No one has officially said more layoffs are coming in April. But those of us not in denial and preparing for our future security can see the writing on the wall. This is, what, the 5th layoff since 1/1/17? They come quarterly like clockwork. It ain’t over for HAH, I’m afraid. Just using common sense.

You don’t believe there is a next round of layoffs coming? Ok. 🙄

They are positioning themselves for a buyout. Denial ain’t just a river in Egypt.

Just saying... you knew the layoffs were coming and your coach would have been more than glad to write your name down for 1 of the RIFed and someone else could have been spared... This isnt the right time to be going on if you werenr impacted.. Not with so many wishing that it wasnt them.... just saying
