Anyone here of more layoffs planned later in 2018? If so, any word on timing later this year? Plenty of them happening in 1Q

There will be layoffs.... Number of DTV subscribers are diving. Cord cutters are killing DTV.

If you are in an organization that hasn't had a reorganization for spans of control, you are next. After that it will be due to budget cuts that are possible at the beginning of Q3. The wildcard is when/if the TW merger happens.
Who said every six months and 1 person for three? They’ve been saying 30% reduction since they announced 2020. I can survive being to 70% but not top 40%! Everything about automate is spot on.

This is a lie. AT&T and many other companies are using these tax breaks to accelerate development of automated solutions. Soon it’ll be outsourced technicians and upper leadership left in this company while the rest of us beg for bread crumbs on the side of the road.

True, layoff every quarter. No amount of training will save you. It's who you know, that is and will matter. In the end, all dead woods will be left. That's how all big successful companies fail in the end. That's the future.

On our call it was stated to expect this to continue every 6 months or so for the foreseeable future. There's going to be a lot of blood for a long time before this is over. The goal is to automate and outsource things and have 1 person doing the job of 3. The other 2 people will be cut loose.
