So, does anyone else feel like you're getting screwed royally? Quotas are set so 70% of us can't even get to 75%, company does this so they don't have to pay us, we have no promo's to bring in traffic, so we have no traffic. We're told we'll be written up for not hitting quotas, but we don't have enough traffic to hit quota. ( 1 out of 13 at my store hit, 2 others hit 75% ). Managers are pretty much trying to coach people out, yet we haven't been able to hire anyone in months because nobody wants to work here ( same at all stores in our district ) so I'm not sure who they think will fill these spots once we all quit or get fired. We are micro managed to death, we have to slam people with hums,tablets and tmp.Yet the DM and managers can't seem to figure out why nobody wants to work here, or why so many people are on FMLA because of stress and health problems. When all of the people that truly care about their jobs and doing the right things for the customers are gone this company will have a bunch of $10.00 an hour punks working here, not caring about anything or anyone and a bunch of pissed off customers. I was with this company for 18yrs, all in retail, gave my notice today, never felt better, I have found a better job, better company, better money. I feel bad for the friends and colleagues that are still dealing with VZW. And if anyone from corporate is reading this, many people in several store are talking union. Seems like it's the only way to get the company to actually listen to us little people.

Try hitting 98% to your quota and getting a FWW for performance. Verizon is a complete joke.

Man, this post is spot on, except purgatory is a nice way to put it. Poster forgot to mention that there are no more job openings,all the jobs are being outsourced ,we are all stuck unless we want to be a manager lol, no thanks. Retail is on it's way out, jobs aren't being backfilled when someone quits. at my store we all see the writing on the wall, time to move on.

I worked for VZW for many years and have been away for several.
They purposely staff their stores with low numbers, constantly rework com systems in company’s favor to ensure you work harder and make less money. They dont offer many promos because they think their network is reason enough for people to switch. They also staffed stores with people who could only manage never lead. Anyone can be a manager but few can be a leader and VZW never understood that. Glad i left when i did as it only got worse especially getting rid of customer service reps and more micro managing from “managers”.
I’m in a much better sales environment nowadays. No quotas, no constant revolving com system, better hours, better work life balance and actual managers who know how to lead a team and help their employees. Verizon is a slow sinking ship and it only a matter of time before its completely submerged.

I quit in November after owned by Verizon for 10 yrs . Best decision ever found a better job, better pay, and stress free!!
