Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Contract position

I am getting offers for contract position with AT&T and laid off recently from AT&T. Do I have to wait for 6 months?

Good for you! T-MO will own AT&T one day and John Legere will bring it back to a smart company. Not in the near future but AT&T cannot survive with their current strategy or lack thereof. Great move.

Yes waiting period is 3 months if you don't tap into your 401k. If you do the wait is 6 months. I know from being a former employee now a contractor. Good Luck!

No. 6 months is only if returning as employee. A coworker voluntarily separated got severance and was back in the office working as a contractor a few weeks later making more money.
