Anyone know about any upcoming layoffs for NCT's? I have 25 years' seniority at a tech call center in Irving.

Our Director has stated that the NCT title is eventually going away. I know of nothing imminent regarding Irving center, but I do know a center consolidation effort is underway. The centers with poor attendance and low productivity are the first to be targeted. Dallas IPGNAC for example. All 94 positions eliminated, with an offer to follow the work to Earth City, Missouri. They have had historically poor attendance and productivity, while Earth City location rates high in attendance and performance.
No one likes these ridiculous at times numbers. BUT, that and attendance are all that the higher ups have to go by. They really do not completely understand what we do, so they go by the spreadsheet. So, hopefully your center has good numbers and attendance. Wish you luck.
