Great job retard doin 5-7 jobs a day making the bribe $$$. I garauntee you are a sh--ty tech that looks out for themselves and cuts corners where needed to ensure the U earn bribe $$ is made. I can almost garauntee you are close to your manager who is probably cheating the system also. Great job!! Way to destroy the morals and fundamentals the laborers before you built. Good luck at your next job!

They did let go 50 techs California. I feel bad for my friends who got laid off. I feel like I got laid off and I don't even work there no more. I left to veri zon fios right before they sold and now I'm frontier. But we are extremely busy. That's the part that s---s though is that it's by seniority not performance. Because there s some real sh--ty techs.

Too many Prem techs and prem mgrs. att over hires till the builds over then they start reducing. In the past they would lower the workforce through retirements, prem techs aren’t retirement eligible. That’s why they froze the hiring and aren’t replacing anyone prem techs who quit or get fired. It’s probsbly going to git that side of the fence sooner then later.

I was the one that posted about core taking over prem work. I'm in California and was under TFS. We all thought (even the core guys) that we would be the ones taking over their work... not the other way around. Especially after the sh--ty contract that was passed. Honestly I should have seen the writing on the wall. My advice is to take advantage of all the horizons funding and tuition aid that you can while you still can and start looking for other career opportunities outside of the company. Maybe someday, when there is a change in leadership, this will be a good company to work for again. But that might not be for a very long time.

@2oak: correct California and Nevada. It was a stupid f---ing decision for IEFS to give TFS Prem Techs that move sealed your fate when it was done. It was only a matter of time and guess what the CWA didn’t say sh--. Core techs now doing Prem Tech work after the surplus.

I haven't heard anything about surpluses, especially not Core doing prem tech work. They did bonded pair installs for a short time and pissed and moaned until the company took it off them. they also did very sh--ty work, but maybe they did it on purpose. either way i can't see core ever doing what prem techs do... it makes more sense that prem techs will be doing what CSTs do.

What area is that?

That's what I thought. I (and several of my coworkers) were doing 5-7 jobs a day. Consistently good numbers (made youearn every month). But my whole yard was hit by the surplus in October. Now they have core taking over the prem work in this area.

Friend of mine, a second line, told me years ago that Prem Techs were by design a "disposable workforce".
