AT&T uses layoffs to manipulate bottom line for shareholders. Instead of increasing profits through innovation, they buy up companies and cut jobs. They are also proof positive that trickle-down economics doesn't work because any revenue gained is used to increase shareholder profits, not to reinvest in the economy, their work force, or their communities.
Perfectly said, @Q3sy8Gp-qotr. This has been AT&T's modus operandi for a while now. Long gone are the days when we actually invested in innovation. That's only seen as waste of money nowadays. Sad but true.
