Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Message for Verizon Leadership

To run Verizon, you HAVE TO HAVE employee loyalty - you are eroding it daily and it's time to turn the page. To earn loyalty you need to IMMEDIATELY DO the following:

  • Take real risks for your people

  • Stand up for us

  • Give us what we need

  • Be here when we need help

  • Help us grow as professional

  • Help us help the company

  • Show compassion, make sacrifices

Right. I can understand a union tradesman as long as the union is selective as some are so that union actually means something. I can understand unions to protect folks who get specialized training that is not easily transferable so these people don't get taken advantage of.

But unions for customer service? Sales? Semi-skilled labor? When you see those types of jobs in unions you know real quick that it's all about dollars and power for the union. More More More. And then union means absolutely nothing besides the fact that you're paying protection money to the mob. It used to be that union made meant something. But not anymore when they take anyone who'll pay the dues and put up with their BS.

Unions make sense if you have a skill, a trade, something of value. If you’re just s shark sales person there’s no reason to unionize, we are all too expendable and replaceable.

Dude. The world has changed. Unions are the past. Exactly what benefit is there to the company of having a union? I can't think of a single one. The closest sort of "advantage" is that they are bound to stick around til way beyond their usefulness.

You tell me, what exactly does the union person bring to the table that a non-union person doesn't bring?

I want to respond to those that say the underperforming will want to join and the over performing will not. I and my over performing compatriots in my district want a union. If you can't see that you will benefit no matter your performance then stfu battery (another matrix reference), I am fighting for everyone because "first they came for them and it didn't matter until they came for us". Do something before they lay us all off! Argue with me I f---ing dare you.

It is dumb to think that you will make less money for joining a union. The whole union thing is much more complicated than that. After this comment you will get a lot of negatives about the union, you got to understand it is like the matrix, if a rep is not part of the supporters they can become an agent. Then you got agents all over the place. And think about this: if Verizon wasn't going to pay you more if you join the union why do they fight it so hard? If unions are dumb to be part of why does the system fight them so hard? The matrix does not want you to know the truth. Follow the rabbit 🐇.

You mean...go back to the way it used to be before Verizon took over the world? Sounds good to me.

But we always do that. We take Instagram pictures with you all, we have leadership conferences, and we still pay STI's! You should be more thankful! Say NO to unions! #wernorthcentral
