I have confirmed with my Gm that by January there will be several more departments hit. All gms know. They received the info already. I’m leaving and we have always been pretty close so i was let in the loop. I have spoke openly with many managers about what’s supposed to be coming.
Membership team, team lead and manager being deleted. They will be using social media and other third party avenues. They will also be consolidating the tiers of membership.
Receiving - night crew will be coming to a early and late shift. 4a-12p or 4pm-12a (some may be 3-11). No more overnights so no night manager will be needed. Receiving clerk will be eliminated as well. New software will deviate the current processes eliminating the need for the receiving team. Also with the new shifts they won’t be needed.
Claims will be the only full time associate that stays in the back rooms.
PTC will be eliminated. No more drug tests and all hiring and backgrounds will be done by email by the managers doing the hiring.
A new restructure will create a new grocery manager and team lead. All of the managers and leads will be given more duties.
Jewelry lead will be eliminated having the center lead take over jewelry and only having part time workers doing both jewelry and clothing.
Optical is being bought out by a third party company and will remain in the club like the demos where our current optical workers will have the opportunity to apply with them.
