Long term disability and RIF

Anyone know how it works if you are on LTD and get RIFed? I can't talk to the LTD company until next week.

As long as you are on disability and not sign the RIF document you can not be separated from the company. Once you are off disability the package kicks in.

This is a unique scenario and you need to reach out to HR about your situation. No one here can (or should) answer your question on this board because this scenario should almost never happen- so if it did, then HR can explain. MetLife won’t be able to help.

What business group are you in?

But I'm not. Still considered an employee.

if you are on long term disability you are considered already separated from VZ. RIF would not apply. 401K would be your only entitlement.
