Verizon didn't change with the times. The leadership, no matter how many fresh faces, exists in an ossified environment.
They are going through the machinations of a failing company. They are not too big to fail.
They will continue to re align, and perform actions to bring about savings, but is probably too late.
Cost saving actions are a poor replacement for profit.
They spend money like they print it, updating equipment with no discernible ROI, changing it out in mere months after paid for and deployed, implementing administrative tasks that are not looked at and have no impact on network performance or could in any way benefit the customer.
They can push unlimited, but it will never cover the operating costs.
Not here or anywhere else. Whoever has the most money to lose wins.
Unless they can offer something people want, (Go 90, what's that?) the best VZ can hope for is that a Google/Amazon/Microsoft that may want a coast to coast 4G network and buys them.
I've heard the gimmicky plans, probably can't speak about them, but it's not going work.
