Now that the entirety of VZ is publicly traded this will be a quarterly occurrence. Find a safe space or start a non-profit.

I've heard January or February when wireless and wireline merge.

"The next RIF will be a "Backdoor RIF" meaning they will now begin the process of requiring remote employees to report to a specific center. as an example a support person working in say New Jersey will now be required to be on site in Virginia or North Carolina.. Most will decline."

This is most likely plausible.

November 2018. About 60 days before 12/31/2018 - they do it this way so you are off payroll on the last day of the year.
